How Fog Media Quotes a Wedding: Photography Costs in Bangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode (2026)

What wedding photographers charge in Bangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode, what moves the price, and exactly how Fog Media builds a quote.

The first question most couples ask us is “how much does wedding photography cost?” The honest answer is that it depends on the number of events, the size of the crew, whether you want film as well as photos, and the city. This guide explains how the market is priced in Bangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode, and then exactly how Fog Media builds a quote, so you know what you are paying for before you ask us for a number.

What wedding photographers charge in Bangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode

These are the price ranges that photographers themselves list on the big wedding directories as of September 2026. They are per day of coverage, usually for photography alone, and the low end is generally a single photographer while the high end is a full candid, traditional and film crew.

CityListed range per daySource
BangaloreRs 50,000 to Rs 2,50,000WedMeGood, Bangalore listings
KannurRs 20,000 to Rs 1,20,000WeddingWire India and WedMeGood, Kannur listings
KozhikodeRs 20,000 to Rs 2,00,000WeddingWire India, WedMeGood and 360events, Kozhikode listings

Two things stand out. Bangalore runs roughly twice Kerala at every level, partly because Bangalore weddings tend to run over more events and partly because of crew and travel costs in the city. And within Kerala, Kannur and Kozhikode overlap almost completely: the same studios serve both, and a photographer based in one will usually quote the other without a travel charge.

What actually moves the price

  • Number of events. A single-day Kerala wedding with a muhurtham and a reception is the base case. Add a haldi, a mehendi, a sangeet or a second reception in the other family’s town, and each one adds a crew day.
  • Crew size. One photographer can cover a small home wedding. A 1,000-guest reception needs a candid photographer, a traditional photographer and at least one film camera, or things get missed.
  • Film. A cinematic film adds a separate crew and a long edit. It is the single largest add-on in most quotes.
  • Album. Album size, page count and cover material vary widely. A 30-sheet premium album costs more than a 20-sheet standard one.
  • Travel and stay. Within the photographer’s home region there is usually no travel charge. For a destination wedding, travel and accommodation for the crew are added at cost.
  • Season. Peak muhurtham dates and the December to February wedding season book out early, and some studios price them higher.

How Fog Media quotes a wedding

We do not publish a price list, because two weddings with the same number of guests can need very different crews. Instead we ask you four things and build the quote from the answers: your dates and the city, the events you want covered, the size of the crowd at each, and whether you want photography alone or photography and film. You get a written quote that lists the crew for each event, the deliverables, and the total, with nothing added later.

The quote covers everything from the first event to the finished album. You get the raw files on the day of the event itself. Once you choose your photos, the album design reaches you in 10 days, and the finished album is delivered 15 days after you approve the design. Your wedding film follows separately.

Payment terms

We take 20 percent to hold the date, 70 percent before the first event, and the last 10 percent on delivery of the album. Dates are held only against the booking amount, so if your muhurtham falls in peak season it is worth confirming early.

Where we work

Fog Media has photographed more than 1,000 weddings since 2009. Our team is based in Kannur and Kozhikode with a Bangalore team as well, so there is no travel charge on weddings in Kannur, Calicut or Bangalore. We also photograph weddings in Wayanad, Goa and Hyderabad, with travel quoted at cost.

In Bangalore we shoot most often across the south of the city, so if your wedding is there, see our pages for wedding photographers in JP Nagar and wedding photographer in Jayanagar.

How to get a quote

Send us your dates, the venue or city for each event, a rough guest count and whether you want film. We reply with a written quote, and if the date is free we will hold it for you while you decide. You can reach the team through the contact page or on the phone numbers listed there for Bangalore, Kozhikode and Kannur.

Questions couples ask about wedding photography costs

Is candid photography more expensive than traditional? Usually, yes, because candid photographers work one wedding at a time and spend longer on editing. Most couples book both, with the traditional photographer covering the formal pictures the family expects.

Does the price include the album? In our quotes, yes. On the directories, not always, so check before comparing two numbers.

Do prices differ between Kannur and Kozhikode? Not much. The same studios serve both, and the listed ranges overlap almost entirely.

How far ahead should we book? For a peak-season date, six to twelve months. For an off-season weekday, a few weeks is often enough, but the earlier you ask, the more likely the date is free.

Market ranges in this guide were taken from public vendor listings on WedMeGood, WeddingWire India and 360events in September 2026. They are listed starting prices, not quotes, and they change with the season.
