Yes, and they are core to our work. Our team knows the sequence of a traditional South Indian ceremony well enough to anticipate each ritual rather than react to it – which is the only way to photograph a mantapa without getting in the family's way.
Our muhurtham is before sunrise. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Early muhurthams are the norm in Jayanagar and we plan for them – the team arrives well before first light with the lighting needed for a pre-dawn ceremony.
How do you handle the lighting inside a mantapa?
