About Fog Media, in plain terms: we are a wedding photography and film studio that started in 2009 and has stayed deliberately small enough that the people you meet are the people who shoot your wedding. The studio is in Koramangala, Bangalore, and a good share of the work is in Kerala, where much of the team originally comes from.

How we actually work a wedding

Almost every wedding we cover runs with two photographers rather than one, and the split is deliberate. One works candidly, staying out of the way and shooting what happens. The other handles the traditional frames — the portraits your parents will actually ask for, the group photographs, the formal moments that need somebody to direct them. Those are different jobs requiring different instincts, and one photographer alternating between them does both at half strength. A cinematographer handles the film separately, because cutting a wedding film is its own craft rather than a by-product of the photography.

What we do not do

We do not publish fixed packages, because a one-day home wedding and a four-day destination celebration are not comparable jobs and pretending otherwise leaves somebody disappointed. We do not subcontract weddings to whoever happens to be available locally — if we take a wedding in Goa or Hyderabad, our own team travels to it. And we do not shoot a wedding we have not talked through first. A fifteen-minute conversation about the order of events prevents most of what otherwise goes wrong on the day.

Where we shoot

Bangalore is home, and we keep dedicated pages for wedding photography in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Calicut, Kannur and Wayanad. North Kerala is where a great deal of the work still happens and where part of the team is based, which is why there is no travel cost on a Malabar wedding. Beyond that we travel for destination weddings wherever they happen to be.

After the wedding

The part nobody asks about at the enquiry stage is what happens once the day is over, and it is where most of the actual work sits. Frames are selected and graded by hand rather than run through a batch preset, because a haldi in harsh courtyard light and a reception under tungsten do not respond to the same treatment. Films are cut to a structure rather than assembled in the order things happened. That takes the time it takes, and we would rather give you a realistic date at the start than a flattering one we then miss.

Who we tend to suit

Couples who want the day documented rather than directed, and who care more about how the pictures feel in ten years than how they perform in the first week. If what you are after is a heavily posed, heavily retouched set turned around in three days, there are studios who do that well and we are not one of them. It is worth being clear about that before either of us commits.

The people, and the claims

Sreesanth founded the studio, won the Kerala State Photography Award in 2017 and has been photographing weddings for seventeen years. Sudhinlal leads the creative direction and has spent six-plus years on candid wedding work. Beyond those two facts we would rather not quote a wedding count or an average rating we cannot substantiate.
