What goes into a Fog Media wedding film?
A wedding film is the one thing from the day you can hear. The vows, the drums at the entrance, your father clearing his throat before his speech. Fog Media has been filming weddings alongside our photography since 2009, across Bangalore, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Goa and Hyderabad, and the film crew works with the photographers as one team so nobody is fighting for the same angle.

Five recent films, each cut from a wedding we photographed too. Watch them for the pacing and the sound as much as the pictures: the vows, the drums at the entrance, the speeches that got the room laughing.

How We Film
Story first, then the drone
We film with two or three cameras depending on the events, plus a drone where the venue allows it. But the film is built around sound and story, not the aerial shot. We record the vows and speeches on separate microphones, so what you hear in the film is what was actually said.
Every film is cut by hand. We watch the whole day back, find the thread that runs through it, and build the edit around that. If your grandmother stole the sangeet, she is in the film.
Check AvailabilityWhat you receive
Most couples take a highlight film of three to six minutes, built for sharing, and a longer documentary edit that keeps the ceremony and the speeches whole. A short teaser can be ready sooner for you to post while the full film is in the edit. Tell us which of these you want when you ask for a quote, because the crew and the edit time change with it.
Film and photography together
Most of our couples book photography and film as one package, and there is a practical reason beyond the price. One team means one plan for the day, one set of positions at the mandap, and no photographer walking through the film shot. It also means the album and the film tell the same story.
Where we film
We film weddings in Bangalore, Kannur, Calicut, Wayanad, Goa and Hyderabad. The team is based in Kerala and Bangalore, so on a North Malabar or Bangalore wedding there are no travel costs to add. For other cities we quote travel separately and tell you the figure up front.
Delivery
You get the raw photo files on the day of the event itself. The album follows once you choose your photos, and your wedding film is delivered separately after the edit is complete. Ask us for the film timeline for your dates when you enquire, since it depends on the length of the edit and the season.
Good to Know
Questions couples ask about wedding films
How long is a wedding film?
A highlight film usually runs three to six minutes. A documentary edit runs much longer and keeps the ceremony and the speeches whole. Many couples take both.
Do you record the vows and speeches?
Yes. We record them on separate microphones so the audio in the film is clean, not the echo of the hall.
Do you use a drone?
Where the venue and local rules allow it, yes. Some venues, and some parts of Bangalore, do not permit drone flights, and we will tell you in advance if that applies to yours.
Can we choose the music?
Yes. Tell us songs that mean something to you and we will build the edit around what works. For films you plan to share publicly, we will suggest licensed alternatives where a song would get the video muted.
Can we book film without photography?
You can, though most couples take both because one team makes for a smoother day and a single story across album and film.
Which cities do you cover?
Bangalore, Kannur, Calicut, Wayanad, Goa and Hyderabad are where most of our weddings happen, and we travel anywhere in India for a destination wedding.
