Each runs to its own order of events, and each has a moment that matters more than the rest — the thalikettu, the nikah, the exchange of rings. When to schedule a shoot on the Malabar coast

December to April gives the most reliable outdoor light, and it overlaps with Theyyam season along the North Malabar coast, which is worth knowing if you want ritual colour near your dates. June through September belongs to the monsoon. That does not rule out shooting outdoors, but it means planning around covered spaces and short weather windows rather than hoping. Mornings hold the best light on the coast — Payyambalam in particular goes flat by mid-afternoon.

Kannur is home ground, but a North Malabar wedding rarely stays in one district.
